A hermaphrodite cannabis plant is a specific genetic that is prone to growing both male and female anatomy. Hermaphrodite plants grow both female calyxes and male stamens. It is important to watch new genetics (especially from seed) closely throughout the entire flowering cycle. If male parts are found on a female plant, carefully remove the stamens early, before any pollen has been released. A genetic variety that is pre-disposed to hermaphrodite tendencies has no value to a grower and should not be cloned from, bred with or flowered again.
